Job Summary:
The 3D Machine Model Builder is an integral part of our team. This position requires a strong background in construction and data management. Creating accurate 3d models for Trimble machine control, managing survey data, preparing utility as-built data, and assisting the project management team with field data comparisons will be the prime function of the position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Must be team oriented, uphold company values and maintain a positive attitude with all team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Develop precise 3D machine models using CAD or Agtek software supporting project execution and ensuring compatibility with Trimble systems.
- Coordinate data flow between estimating, surveying, and project management teams overseeing accurate and timely information transfer.
- Manage and prepare survey as-built data for client deliverables and project documentation.
- Compare field data with design quantities aiding in the scheduling and logistical planning assisting the project management team.
- Enhance data accuracy and logistical planning expertly using Carlson survey software and Trimble Business Center.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Effectively communicate (written/verbal) with internal and external teams about project requirements.
- Ability to work independently (low supervision), handle multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Proficient in CAD (computer aided design) and Agtek software.
- Experience with Carlson survey software and Trimble Business Center is preferred.
Education/Experience
- Solid Construction experience with experience in 3D model building for machine control.
- Handle and interrupt survey data with experience in utility as-built data.
- Experience with creating 3D models for Trimble machine control system.
- 3-5 years of experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 80lbs and push/or pull 50lbs loads at a time.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in an office environment, where sitting for extended periods may be required.
- Must have physical strength, balance, and stamina to complete jobs in various terrains.
