Job Summary
ECTC is seeking an Academic Advisor III, Dual Credit Coordinator who will serve as team lead assisting the Director of Secondary Partnerships. The Coordinator will work closely with high school counselors, area technology center personnel, and technical faculty to build dual credit enrollment, and to create pathways that encourage high school students to enroll at Elizabethtown Community & Technical College
Job Duties:
• Serves as the main contact for students interested in career technical education programs and applicable dual credit course offerings, to guide them to achieve academic success.
• Ensures local high school/area technology center courses are created accurately and the onboarding process of dual credit instructors is completed in a timely manner.
• Works in partnership with applicable school district officials to compare Kentucky Department of Education – Career and Technical Education Pathways to KCTCS Degree Pathways and course descriptions.
• Enter high school transcripts and enrollment verification forms into Peoplesoft and scan and index into OnBase.
• Works collaboratively with the Recruitment Team regarding technical programs, relevant dual credit course offerings, campus tours, and group presentations.
• Foster relationships with high schools and area technology centers in our service region and initiate formal agreements.
• Contributes to the achievement of the College’s recruitment and retention goals by providing information to the high school students, parents, teachers, administrators, and district officials by representing the College at high school events and encouraging dual credit students to consider attending ECTC upon graduation.
• Develop and distribute necessary training materials, handbooks, and brochures for high school administrators, faculty, and students regarding the use of Peoplesoft and other university technologies.
• Works cooperatively with the Registrar and fellow Admissions staff to ensure that special registration assistance is provided for dual credit students, including visits to area high schools in a timely manner to collect admission and registration materials to meet specified registration deadlines.
• Assists in achieving the college’s outreach goals by working cooperatively with staff from various campus and off-campus organizational units, especially area schools and school districts.
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Education with a focus on Counseling or Student Affairs, or related field), and 1 year of experience, or equivalent.
