Job Summary

Hazard Community and Technical College invites applications for our part-time adjunct faculty pool for Health and Public Services teaching areas could include any of the following; Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Human Services, Nursing, Nurse Aide, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiography, Surgical Technology, Medical Assisting, Visual Communications, Criminal Justice, Business Administration and Early Childhood Education. This position is considered a temporary, part-time position used to fill both online and in person courses.

Job Duties:

Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities and prepares learning materials.

Provides instruction to students in the subject area.

Prepares lesson plans (as needed) and maintains records and reports on student attainment, attendance/activity and progress.

Utilizes approved online course templates and syllabus format, maintains, classroom order and discipline.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications dependent on subject area. Please follow up to inquire about minimum qualifications.
Applicants accepted for online course assignments will be required to complete a Faculty Certification Training Program for Online Instructors and meet (online or in-person) with a member of the distance learning staff. When a position is available, qualified applicants may be contacted for an interview and asked to submit further documentation.
