Position Name: Adjunct Instructor – Human Morphology course series
Classification: Part-Time, Non-Benefitted
FTE: Less than 50% time

Department/Division: Clinical Science/College of Chiropractic
Supervisor: Associate Dean, Pre-Clinical Education
Location: On Campus (8000 NE Tillamook St; Portland, OR 97213)
POSITION SUMMARY
Teach in the Human Morphology series highlighting the regional anatomy of the head and anterolateral neck, spine and extremities, thorax, abdomen, and pelvis as students learn the detailed anatomy of the muscles, nerves, bones, joints, blood vessels, organs, and visceral structures of the regions. In lab, all students will learn from a variety of resources including prosected human cadavers, online resources, and anatomical models.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach Human Morphology III lecture
Assist the lead instructor in teaching/grading laboratory procedures based on existing syllabus.
Maintain expertise in area of instruction.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Training
- Required: Master’s degree in clinical anatomy with at least four years related experience OR a first professional degree with advanced training/experience in anatomy.
- Preferred: DC degree
Experience
- Required: Practical experience in human cadaveric dissection
- Preferred: Prior teaching experience in a university or professional education program preferred
Related Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Required: Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Required: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Required: Ability to access current electronic information.
