We are looking for an Associate Business Partner for a 7-to-8-month temporary position.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary contact and resource for managers and employees providing general guidance and consultation on a variety of HR operational matters, including interpreting, and educating on HR polices, benefits, employee engagement initiatives, and performance management. Provide coaching and counseling on HR related items while maintaining good working relationships and building credibility. 
  • Conducts routine employee relations matters, tracks, and monitors case activities; ensures issues are properly escalated when appropriate. Ensures documentation is complete. 
  • Provides support to organizational and workforce planning including reporting analytics, maintaining teammate information, and collaborating with leaders.
  • Partners with HR Leaders to efficiently implement, administer and deliver company-wide HR programs, processes, and projects.
  • Ensures new teammates are successfully pre-boarding into the HRIS, including background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Provides support to the Talent Team on various projects.
  • Maintain employee data integrity in the HRIS system through partnering with assigned locations to ensure related information to employee’s pay, status, location, access etc. is updated and accurate.
  • Administer leave management programs and be familiar with FMLA, PFL, PSL, ADA, Pregnancy including COVID-19 leaves, RTW & safety programs.
  • Collaborate within HR and our cross-function partners to develop, iterate and improve People team processes.
  • Provide support to the company’s learning and development programs by ensuring all teammates are compliant in their training programs along with identifying potential training programs / classes to implement.
  • Provide support to our Employee Relations & Culture team by assisting with projects and being an advocate for the company’s culture initiatives.
  • Provide support in maintaining our Teammate Handbook, including reviewing existing policies, identifying changes, and drafting language recommendations.

Education/Experience:

  • Five or more years of experience as an HR Generalist
  • 7-8+ years in the Human Resources function preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources management or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with HRIS (UltiPro and Dayforce)
  • Experience in developing recruitment strategy.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, customer service skills.
  • Strong demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, demonstrate initiative, and manages multiple, competing priorities with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Ability to travel when required.
  • Desire to grow professionally with networking and ongoing training opportunities.

Work is performed in an office environment.  Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.  While performing the duties of this job, the teammate is regularly required to talk or listen.  The teammate is required to sit for long periods of time, stand and walk, bend, and stretch.  Use of telephone and computer is required.  Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
