Job Description:

1.    GENERAL POSITION INFORMATION 
Position Name:    Barista/Campus Store Assistant
Classification: Part-Time
Work Hours: Negotiable
Department/Division:     Campus Store
Supervisor:   Campus Store Manager


2.    POSITION SUMMARY
The Campus Store Barista and Assistant provides excellent customer service to all campus visitors (students, staff, tours, etc.), makes beverages to store standards while following health code and aids the campus store manager with daily operations and assigned tasks. 

3.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

60%
•    Operates cash register, rings up purchases and makes accurate change on all cash purchases.
•    Makes espresso and other beverages up to campus store standard.
•    Cleans workspace while working and as needed.
•    Develops a good working knowledge of campus store products (textbooks, tools, apparel, etc.) 
•    Develops respectful relationships with all university constituents. 
•    Maintains commons space (cleaning tables, counters, and condiment dispensing areas.)    

40%
•    Stocks inventory as needed and when instructed to do so.
•    Washes dishes that may accumulate during shift.
•    Assists with inventory management. (inventory counts)
•    Assists campus store manager as needed (placing orders with vendors, preparing caterings, general organization of stores sales floor.) 
•    Other duties as assigned.

5.    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Training Required:    High School graduate with basic barista training.  Oregon Food Handlers Card.    
Preferred: Some college experience or currently enrolled. 
Experience Required:    Customer and coffee service (barista work).    
Experience Preferred: Retail 
Related Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:    Ability to follow directions and work independently 
Detail-oriented with ability to work quickly, accurately, and thoroughly
Attention to detail
Preferred: General clerical skills
