Job Summary
Madisonville Community College (MCC) is a five-campus institution centrally located along I-69 corridor in beautiful rural Western Kentucky that serves Muhlenberg, Caldwell, Webster, and Crittenden Counties. Job Duties:
• Coordinate the development and delivery of CDL training to students from a variety of backgrounds. Provide input on recruitment and marketing efforts. Administer required drug test on each student and comply with all state CDL/DOT requirements. Must be present on campus or training site for teaching and advising a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
• Coordinate all classroom, driving range, and on-the-road training, and assist with adjunct instructors as needed.
• Counsel individual clients/students concerning the program and their progress and completion requirements. Escort students to Kentucky State Police testing facility and prepare them for successful completion of the Class A CDL driving test.
• Coordinate the operational needs and supplies for the program, working closely with others in the Workforce Solutions department that support the program.
• Other duties as assigned (may include department meetings, internal or external service, professional development, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate degree and three years related experience, or equivalent.
• Current CDL Class A license. Additional requirements per the Kentucky Commission on Proprietary Education will apply.
• Ability to effectively communicate with and respond to diverse populations and situations that arise.
• Ability to think quickly and respond appropriately in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, flexibility, and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain apprised of current industry standards and state laws and regulations.
• Ability to build and maintain internal and external work-related relationships.
