JOB SUMMARY:

Work under minimal supervision to accurately receive, store, and distribute core materials used in the manufacturing process.  Ensure compliance to Howmet Aerospace requirements regarding inspection, releasing/quarantine of core materials.  Monitor inventory levels and arrange for documentation/disposition of nonconforming core material.

This position is for 1st shift. Hours are 6:18 a.m. to 3:48 p.m.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



Unpack cores




Inspect cores


Enter data in Core Audit Defect IPC


Gauge cores


Daily Inventory



Receive cores into inventory




Issue out cores from inventory


Return cores back into inventory when not used


Review Inventory transaction report to verify issues/returns


Receive in HdM Purchase Patterns


Monitor platinum pin, quartz rods and chaplet inventory


Cut platinum pins


Manage HdM correspondence and transactions


Using Computers (entering information, etc.)


Review Core Certification of Compliance for accuracy


Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct, and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.

Perform receiving process for raw core materials and HDM prepped cores.
2.

Complete OHCMS transactions for selling cores to HDM for prep. Retain Del Rio spreadsheets for tracking purposes.
3.

Control release of production and nonconforming core materials.
4.

Identify core issues / trends, initiate supplier non conformance cards and return material authorizations. Work with the Core Planner for resolution.
5.

Maintain the return material forms and non-conformance cards for record retention.
6.

Communicate with HDM regarding core related issues found at unpack and inspection.
7.

Assist with monitoring and storing evaluation cores waiting Engineer approval.
8.

Assist with training of new employees assigned to Core Receiving.
9.

Performs other duties as required.
10.

Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment.

Must pass Jaeger I eye exam.


Work requires moderate physical effort such as lifting, bending, standing and frequent walking.


Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.

Skills and Abilities:




Must be able to communicate well with internal customers.


Basic computer skills and good oral and written communication skills are required.


Good math skills and mechanical understanding are required.


Knowledge of SPC and statistical software is preferred.

Standard Office Equipment.

Work Environment:




Works in air conditioned area.


Requires wearing safety glasses, Metal tarsal shoes and  periodic use of ear plugs in other areas of the plant.


Slight exposure to chemicals, fumes, oil, dust, noise and heat or cold.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 


High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution


Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.



This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



Prefer three to five years of manufacturing operations experience.


Prefer one to two years of inventory control experience.
