COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Rancher Government Solutions (RGS) is specifically designed to address the unique security and operational needs of the U.C. Government and military as it relates to application modernization, containers, and Kubernetes.
Rancher is a complete open-source software stack for teams adopting containers. It addresses the operations and security challenges of managing multiple Kubernetes clusters at scale, while providing DevOps teams with integrated tools for running containerized workloads.
RGS supports all Rancher products with U.S. based American citizen with the highest security clearances who are currently supporting programs across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies.
POSITION SUMMARY
The CRO will be responsible for ensuring the execution and direction of Rancher Government Solutions strategic plan, in partnership with the CEO, and overseeing growth of all revenue generating activities and operations, including business development; technology, audit and compliance consulting services; and customer success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead business development growth efforts, profitability and financial success of the market with focus on technology sales.
- Accountable for the strategic direction of RGS in collaboration with the CEO.
- Build, develop, improve and influence relationships with key target markets, clients and stakeholders.
- Lead and influence the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Provide guidance and leadership to support the sales team, monitor performance and implement strategies to maximize sales effectiveness.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators and metrics to track sales revenue performance and effectiveness.
- Report revenue targets, sales pipeline and progress towards goals to the CEO and Board.
- Develop strategies and initiatives to enhance customer success, satisfaction and retention.
- Foster an overall sales culture of urgency and agility across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or other related area.
- Top Secret (TS) clearance required.
- Located in the Washington D.C. area is highly desirable.
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience preferably in technology industry.
- Proven experience leading and influencing cross functional teams with exceptional decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a clear and effective business strategy.
- Strong financial skills and acumen with the ability to drive profitability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Forward thinking mindset with ability to embrace and drive innovation.
