Department of Economics: James Langenfeld Professorship in Industrial Organization
We invite applications to be the inaugural holder of the James Langenfeld Professorship in Industrial Organization, with a fall 2025 starting date. This is a tenured full professor position, but we will also consider tenured associate candidates. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field; their research portfolio must include industrial organization or a closely related field in empirical microeconomics. Candidates must have an active, internationally recognized research agenda and a commitment to excellent teaching. Candidates for a rank of full professor should have an outstanding teaching, service, and publication record commensurate with tenure at that rank. Duties include teaching, research aimed at publication in peer-reviewed economics journals, student advising, and departmental and university service.
