The Role

As a Director, Customer Solutions you will work within the Lifetime Financial Help Product Area as a member of the Customer Solutions Chapter. Along with the Retirement Income Open Architecture Squad Leader, you will focus on enabling new retirement features and offerings in a complex environment which requires collaboration from both internal and external partners. Directors in Customer Solutions must be highly motivated, 'self-starters' with a sense of ownership, and a strong desire to succeed.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required; MBA preferred.
  • Agile mentality; experience with Jira or similar Agile backlog management tool preferred
  • Self-starter who can translate strategic goals and ideas into action quickly, conceptualizing, developing and delivering strategies that meet customer needs
  • Strong consulting orientation with a demonstrated ability to establish both internal and external relationships
  • Strong technology background with the ability to actively participate in detailed discussions, helping make technical trade-offs
  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills with partners across domains
  • Understand Workplace Investing business and organizational structures
  • Detailed knowledge of Fidelity's defined contribution workspace and preferably record keeping components
  • Excellent strategic and critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate product vision and features
  • Outstanding listening, communication and facilitation skills
  • Proven time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to find opportunities to innovate and take thoughtful risks to get the work done better and faster
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Mural and PowerPoint

  • Identify, define and articulate strategic product initiatives/roadmaps for the squad
  • Effectively present information and roadmap progress to Product Area and Domain leadership
  • Accountability in ensuring the features delivered meet customer needs and bring the product vision to life
  • Work with key partners to identify product and integration enhancements and maintain awareness of market trends
  • Build effective relationships with key business, IT and Legal, Compliance, and Risk partners to drive initiatives to completion
