Job Description:
The Role
The Director of Exchange Services reports to the VP, Research and Market Data Services within Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO). The role provides leadership to a team of associates and is a subject matter expert on the use of Exchange data across Fidelity. The Director partners with business units across the firm to mitigate risk and consults on solutions for Exchange data use cases. In addition, the team the Director leads is responsible for all Exchange reporting, audits, and budgets.
Leading, directing, and mentoring a team to achieve high-quality results.
Analyzing and interpreting exchange policies and making recommendations to ensure compliance
Identifying and prioritizing opportunities for automating and/or technological improvements
Providing strategic direction and prioritization
Explaining and delivering specific recommendations on business use cases, policy adherence and products
Collaborating with cross-functional teams on the contract and negotiation process to effectively represent budgets and business requirements
Serving as a strong business communicator with senior leaders and business partners, both internal and external
Keeping up to date with policy changes, market developments, and trends
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 8+ years in financial service, ideally with an asset management or brokerage firm or a market data vendor
Familiarity with exchange policies and obligations
Understanding of exchange reporting requirements and audit procedures
Understanding of both brokerage and asset management business
Strong project management and data analysis skills
Ability to work with all levels of management and make high impact decisions efficiently
Innovation mentality - ability to identify and drive forward new ways to improve current processes
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong presentation capability
Proficiency in various PC software applications to include Microsoft, Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
