Job Summary:
The Director Project Management is responsible for overseeing and steering our project management team in the development and execution of automation projects. In this role you will be driving results through cross-functional collaboration, allocating required resources, and mentorship of the PM team to ensure successful project finalization.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the project management team in planning, execution, and delivery of automation projects to meet customer expectations by considering time, scope, cost, and budget.
- Established project management processes and tools within the organization.
- Oversee projects related to cash flow, financial reporting, and revenue and expenses.
- Responsible for reporting summary project results to executive management.
- Establish and implement sustainable project plans, schedules, budgets, and monitoring processes through the application of project management principles and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, support, and purchasing to ensure project requirements are met and customer needs are addressed.
- Ensure project reports to our customers (remote and in-person).
- Allocate team members and required resources for project management.
- Lead in creating the system specifications with focus on all commercial and timeline aspects and under consideration of technical input from our Automation Engineering team.
- Ensure the quality, cost, and deadline requirements for all automation projects.
- Establish and improve processes to monitor and evaluate contractual services and receivables during the project phase (claim management).
- Coaching and developing team members.
- Coordinate acceptance testing and final project closing with the customer and the technical project team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or in a relevant field.
- Master’s degree in engineering or in a relevant field, preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management in a relevant field that combines built to order products, software, and services to a customer solution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Leadership role.
- Experience in managing project financials.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with material handling systems or in the realization of automation projects.
- PMP or PGMP certification, preferred.
