Responsibilities
Singer Equipment Company is looking for a Dispatch Coordinator in Paterson, New Jersey to oversee the coordination and communication of the daily activities pertaining to the delivery of products.
- Report driver concerns as they arise to management/safety and/or HR
- Assist Dispatcher with paperwork pertaining to driver qualifications and driver logs
- Coordinate with drivers to facilitate delivery within time window parameters inclusive of correction to time windows in the operating system
- Notification of sales staff/customer service/routing for delivery issues
- Remain in close contact with all drivers, on a daily basis, to ensure completion of all trips in an efficient manner, keeping customer service/sales informed of any service issues that occur during the course of trip activities
- Maintain open communication with all drivers and Management/Routing Supervisor
- Assist dispatcher with the coordination with leasing agency to resolve any maintenance and/or breakdown issues
- Trained to support truck routing in the absence of the routing personnel
Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse administrative setting
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication including excellent oral and written communication skills and taking the initiative to actively communicate information in an appropriate manner
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills and the ability to accurately complete tasks and reports on a timely basis
- Must be detail oriented
- Able to work independently
- 2+ years recent relevant experience in warehousing, distribution, inventory control or transportation
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Location: Paterson, NJ / In-office
Compensation: $20-$25/hr
