The Oregon Health Authority has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health Policy & HERC Support Specialist to join an excellent team. This is a full-time, permanent, represented position with Health Policy and Analytics.


What you will do! 
As a part of the Business Operations unit, you will perform and coordinate administrative tasks supporting the Health Evidence Review Commission (HERC) within the Health Policy & Analytics division. Along with divisional tasks, this position supports the Director, the program staff members as well as subcommittees and boards. This position will actively participate in the agency management team with responsibility for completing assignments received in management team meetings. This position resides in the Administrative Support team of the Business Operations Unit of the Health Policy and Analytics Division.  There are 6 functional areas of support provided to the division including: administrative and operational support, office support, web management and technical tasks, public meeting support, communication, and administrative support. The purpose of the Business Operations Administrative Support team  is to provide appropriate levels of administrative services to the programs areas of the division and provide operational and process efficiency.  This position may be remote and will require some in state travel ranging from two to six times a year to support in person meetings. 

Work Location: The work of this role may be conducted remotely; but may require intermittent in state travel to provide in person support at meetings.

This position falls under the Administrative Specialist 1 classification. The AA Rate Pay Range for this position is $3,022- $4,465 USD Monthly.

What we are looking for: 
Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR
An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.


Desired Attributes: 
•    Procedural Knowledge: Capability to maintain a desk reference of processes and procedures.
•    Meeting Management: Proficient in scheduling and supporting meetings, both in person and remotely, effectively using remote tools such as Zoom and MS Team
•    Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Public Meeting Support: Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient public meetings, while integrating requirements of public meeting law.
•    Experience supporting managerial staff, including calendar and schedule management
•    Ability to work independently and proactively.
