Position Description

The City of Tolleson is seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Human Services Cook. The purpose of this position is to provide semi-skilled to skilled human services support, which may include driving, meal planning and preparation, or assisting patrons with facility use. The Human Service Cook plans and prepares meals for program patrons; Inventories food and supplies; places regular orders to maintain adequate inventory; Records food temperature logs; Updates menus for program patrons; Maintain a clean/safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes; Maintain food safety/sanitation standards; Assist Senior Center Coordinator with quarterly menu planning (Abiding by Area Agency on Aging and Department of Economic Security Guidelines); Performs related work as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in assigned area of responsibility; or an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience. Valid Arizona Driver's License; Food Handlers Card, Food Manager Certification, Fingerprint Clearance Card, and Central Registry Background Check required.

Job Information

Hiring Salary: $19.32 - $23.19 Hourly D.O.E.

Full Salary Range for Position: $19.32-$27.05 Hourly
