Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $34.62.

We are currently hiring an Industrial Maintenance Tech 3 at our Johns Manville plant in Jacksonville, FL. We manufacture polyisocyanurate foam insulation panels for use in roofing systems, as well as specialty items such as tapered, vented, composite, nail board and sheathing products.

Schedule:

This position is for 2nd Shift; 6P-6A, working a 3-2-2-3 configuration with 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Must be able to learn and work within the maintenance work order system (SAP), by generating work orders, viewing status of work orders, and closing work orders upon completion.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site, ensuring the correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery.
  • Reads, interprets, and understands wiring diagrams and PLC ladder logic to properly diagnose automated machinery with the ability to troubleshoot PNP and NPN circuits.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties, and work efficiently to fix the issue.
  • Assist in maintaining parts and tools inventory.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis, and trends.
  • Understand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, confined space procedures and all other plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 4+ years of automation control and mechanical experience with working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, PLC’s, VFD’s, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission, as well as welding, cutting, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
  • Technical or vocational degree or certification (preferred).
