American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and continues to be an exciting and fast-growing business. To maintain this success, the organization must accelerate sales and drive profitable charge volume growth. The Global Sales Enablement, Pricing & Transformation (SPT) team within GCS is instrumental in ensuring achievement of these objectives. SPT’s mission is to power GCS growth through the provision of informed pricing, sales enablement, and process transformation. The Instructional Designer role offers you the opportunity to be part of this multifaceted organization and help GCS navigate towards growth.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Instructional Designer will craft learning solutions that support our commercial sales colleagues. The resulting high-impact programs will be used to onboard sales & account development new hires, upskill existing colleagues, and enable leaders to provide effective coaching.

In the end, your work will empower our frontline teams with the skills and confidence to deliver a consistent brand, value proposition, and a seamless experience to prospects and customers – ultimately driving bottom line results.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs analysis to understand performance opportunities for our frontline sales teams.
  • Develop learning strategies to equip our frontline colleagues with the appropriate knowledge, skills, and tools.
  • Use instructional design principles and methodologies to design, storyboard, develop, and implement role-based courses.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, sales teams, product and marketing partners, and other key stakeholders to develop best in class learning content.
  • Develop learning resources in various delivery methods including instructor-led training, on-demand learning, videos, and other multimedia.
  • Establish and execute strategies for measuring training effectiveness.
  • Project manage end-to-end learning solutions.
  • Perform course management tasks within the enterprise Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Stay informed on trends and innovation in adult education, e-Learning and technology supported training

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strength in designing and developing learning programs, demonstrated with a portfolio.
  • Ability to craft graphically appealing and user-friendly learning materials.
  • Strong program management, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and demonstrate strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate across diverse global teams
  • A passion for distilling and articulating complex concepts in a concise way.
  • Experience working with Learning Management System Administration including loading content, making assignments, and pulling reporting data.
  • Proficient in Articulate 360 Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, and other authoring tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience in adult learning and training development and delivery, including effectively developing training programs

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
