ROLE SUMMARY:
The Law & Compliance Intern will work directly with our NLG attorneys and compliance professionals, assisting with all manner of legal and compliance matters, such as: legal and regulatory analyses, insurance claims, product issues, consumer inquiries, sales practice issues, litigation, employment related matters, contract review, and/or securities issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will be an integral part of the Law & Compliance Department and be incorporated into the functional team for day-to-day operations. The specific responsibilities for this position will be tailored to the candidate and will be based on the company’s needs, as well as their interests, objectives, and individual qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Interest in a career in law and/or compliance
- Excellent academic credentials are required; top 33% of class preferred
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word
- An undergraduate degree
- Enrollment in an accredited law school preferred
