Manager, Quantitative Risk Analysis

As a Manager with Fidelity's Quantitative Risk Analysis, you will be working in a team-based, fast-paced environment. This role will challenge you to evaluate the various facets of the financial services industry with a concentration in quantitative risk analysis and financial modeling.

Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) operates as a cross-functional team supporting various constituents of

Fidelity Legal, Risk & Compliance to drive positive change through firm-wide model validation and consultative projects. On QRA, you will guide independent validation of quantitative models and report findings to management by utilizing analytical expertise to assess market, financial, and operational risks.

Key areas of focus include quantitative modeling, valuation and pricing, investment products, financial planning compentents, market events, and credit risk.

The Expertise You Have

  • 4-7 years of financial services and/or modeling experience, risk management experience is a plus
  • MS/BA/BS in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related field of study
  • CFA, FRM, CAIA or similar industry certification preferred

The Skills You Have

  • You prioritize tasks and manage workload across multiple projects and teams
  • You thrive on solving complex problems using quantitative and analytical abilities
  • You communicate effectively and collaboratively with team members and business partners
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and team management
  • Strong proficiency with Bloomberg, Excel, and/or statistical software (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB, SQL)

The Value you Deliver

  • Managing model validation projects across enterprise-wide business groups, assessing model design, inputs, methodologies, and key assumptions. Designing quantitative and qualitative analyses to tackle complex problems such as portfolio risk profiles, security pricing and valuation, and machine learning forecasting
  • Work cross functionally with business units and senior leadership to enhance current model development and expedite remediation practices.
  • Mentor associates, helping to oversee and manage time across various projects, prioritize work, and adhere to set deadlines.
  • Building deep working relationships with business partners throughout Fidelity

We have openings in in our Boston, MA and Jersey City, NJ locations.

The base salary range for this position is $71,000-$112,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
