Job Summary
This role is integral to our Workforce Solutions department, focusing on listening to industry
needs, identifying opportunities, and developing Inland Waterway-specific training programs
and credentials to serve the local workforce effectively.
Job Duties:
• Engage directly with industry partners to understand training needs and workforce demands within the Inland Waterway sector.
• Design, develop, and implement new training courses, programs, and credentials tailored to industry requirements.
• Instruct and lead training sessions, ensuring that the curriculum aligns with both industry standards and the needs of the local workforce.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and course outcomes.
• Stay current with industry trends and instructional methodologies.
• Participate in industry-recognized organizations and groups
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in Inland Waterways marine operations.
• Associate degree or higher in a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications and a thorough understanding of industry standards
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
