The Co-op & Billing Coordinator works closely with the Co-op & Billing Manager to facilitate all co-op billing to our publishing partners. Billing includes but is not limited to all publisher placement and pass-through, funding for promotions, seasonal markdowns, wholesaler funds, and expenses associated with Shopper’s Marketing. Works closely with the Shopper’s Marketing Specialists and Sales teams to facilitate.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Supports efforts of the Shoppers Marketing department to manage overarching co-op and promotional spending for retail accounts, optimizing available co-op funds to maximize sales, improve business results, and support merchandising initiatives.
- Maintains electronic library of advertising/merchandising vehicles, deadlines, and fees by retailer.
- Coordinates the execution of promotions at key retailers, including planning, design, and funding.
- Negotiates publisher funding to support in-store promotions.
- Assists with publisher co-op reporting, including maintaining checkbooks by publisher and retailer.
- Creates sales presentations as needed.
- Collates promotional submissions from publishers on a quarterly basis, or as needed.
- Maintains tracking logs as needed
- Assists with advertisements in monthly promotions. Coordinates copywriters, editors, photographers, and the creative department to ensure ads are produced in a timely fashion.
- Works with publishing representatives, warehouse club buyers, and ReaderLink personnel to negotiate funding for endcaps, placement, and other vehicles for our customers.
- Works with internal and external partners to develop and execute promotional programs, including but not limited to special pricing, in-store signage, advertisements, online promotions, and in-store display vehicles.

- Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- One (1) year of marketing and/or sales experience is preferred.
- Strong to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills are required.
- Ability to react promptly to customer’s needs is required.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving and customer service skills are required.
- Ability to handle multiple demands; prioritizes and allocates time efficiently.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to speak with all levels of the organization and outside partners.
- Analytical and mathematical proficiency is required.
- The work performed is in an office environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
- Must be able to work independently on tactics and in high-functioning groups on strategic direction.
Salary: $24.04/hour - $25.00/hour
