Job Summary

Plans and carries out instruction in the Nursing program and prepares learning materials in both theory and practice. Start date December 2, 2024

Job Duties:

Plans and carries out instruction in the Nursing program and prepares learning materials in both theory and practice. Prepares lesson plans, instructional activities, provides clinical instruction, and maintains records and reports on student learning. Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and expertise. Provides student advisement, follow-up services to assist in student placement, and promotes public relations. Serves on committees as required, keeps regular posted office hours, and undertakes other assignments as directed by supervisor. May be required to teach evening, weekend, or at other campus locations as the need arises.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid, unencumbered KY (or a compact state with multistate privileges) registered nursing (RN) license and two years of nursing experience in the last five years. Master’s degree in Nursing preferred. Individuals holding a baccalaureate degree may be considered for hire at instructor level. Preferred candidates will also have at least one year of long-term care experience. All applicants must meet the licensure requirements of the occupation. Rank and salary will be dependent upon the level of education and years of teaching experience.
