Job Summary

The Document Scanning Clerk is a part-time, temporary position and responsible for collecting, reviewing, scanning, and organizing documents (ex: employee files, training records, benefits information, transcripts, student records, etc.) This position will involve converting a high-volume of paper files to electronic files in cloud storage.

Job Duties

  • Create a workflow to manage this high-volume conversion project using an in-depth understanding of proper document retrieval, handling, and destruction of documents that contain personal and protected information.
  • Order files from offsite storage and other locations in preparation for scanning. Receive and process incoming files from internal teams
  • Organize and scan files for electronic storage; Ensure each file is readable and scanned completely.
  • Ensure files are properly classified, named, and saved in corresponding drives.
  • Ensure confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Keep a record of documents retrieved, scanned, saved, and destroyed.
  • Provide administrative assistance when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
