Howmet Aerospace – Cleveland Tempcraft Operations

Job Summary

Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Patterns Inspector in our Patterns Business Center at our Engines Products - Cleveland Operations Tempcraft facility located at 3960 S. Marginal Rd. in Cleveland. This position is responsible for the ensuring that customer requirements are meet for the Aerospace Industry prior to shipping.

This is a 2nd Shift position Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm.

Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts that enable the next generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Dimensionally inspect parts per product criteria
  • Operate and Run CMM programs to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
  • Ultrasonic inspect wax patterns to ensure proper wall thickness and customer requires are satisfied.
  • X-Ray cores to ensure quality is acceptable and identify/ mark-up 100% defects.
  • Record data manually or by computer as required.
  • Ensure safe work practices and that all EHS policies and requirements are being followed.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with department activity instructions.
  • Other duties as assigned by Team Lead and/or supervisor.


Job Specifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent of 5 years of inspection experience
  • Able to pass an annual eye exam per Jaeger


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient Computer Skills 
  • Previous CMM, Ultrasonic and X-Ray experience
  • Knowledge of Computer Coding Concepts
