POSITION SUMMARY:

As an intern in the People Center, you will have the opportunity to learn about each of the critical functions within Human Resources that shape the employee experience at National Life.  You will rotate through key areas of the People Center, gaining hands on experience in Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Organizational Development, and Strategic Business Partners.  Throughout this rotation, you will work on meaningful projects that impact our programs and processes in partnership with business leaders on the People team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The People Center intern will be a vital part of our team and will contribute to our continuing efforts to identify and implement best practices. Key projects include: job posting and resume reviews, recruiting advertising campaign support, content mapping of Servant Leadership, partnership in extended onboarding curriculum and help in creating a harmonized job description template. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.00
  • Working towards a degree in Human Resources Management, rising Senior preferred
  • Coursework in human resources, organizational development, communications, or related area preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools with interest in learning new tools and systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
