Post Cast Process Owner - Job Band 20

Job Summary: This position will be responsible for ensuring that the post cast processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials, and equipment specifications as detailed in the Corporate Post Cast Manual, associated MSAT, Nadcap requirements, and customer specifications.

Essential Functions:
  • Modify and/or approve work instructions (Activity Instructions and Product Criteria) for the post cast manufacturing processes, such as shell removal, gate removal, machining, surface preparation, finishing, and dimensional.
  • Responsible to monitor post cast processes and ensure that they are stable, sustainable, and in control.
  • Perform regular MSAT audits on post cast processes.
  • Determination of root cause of any deviations from critical processes, and development of timely reaction plans to correct the deviations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and/or individually to identify and correct causes of scrap and rework, and to identify improvements and cost reductions in post cast processes. 
  • Assist with development and implementation of new materials and techniques.
  • Assist with training of operators for new methods or instructions.
  • Perform data retrieval and data analysis using Excel, PowerBI, and other software systems. 
  • Flexibility to work off-shift hours and weekends for occasional training or technical support.
  • Other duties may be requested to support Process Owner team.

  • Ability to communicate and interact with shop floor and management personnel effectively.
  • Ability to organize, manage time, and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Able to work in a self-directed or team environment.
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Forward thinker – must have the ability to innovate when the opportunity is presented.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
  • Must be able to provide documentation in the original form establishing both your identity and your employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items you must be able to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience manufacturing operations and/or continuous improvement 
  • Experience in metal finishing and/or abrasives preferred 
  • Leadership experience strongly preferred
