Producer Compensation Specialist I

The mission of the Commissions team is to expertly execute, supplement, and clarify the compensation process for selling relationships and oversee the annual tax reporting to all payees.  The team is responsible for the internal control environment, researching compensation payments at the transaction level, gathering and analyzing multiple sources of information to ensure accuracy, and corresponding verbally and in writing to obtain and/or provide information related to compensation.

The Commission Specialist plays a critical role in building the confidence and trust of our selling customers by understanding their needs and delivering the best service every time.  The position partners closely with other business areas to problem solve and identify the root cause of errors that impact the accuracy or timeliness of payments. As part of the problem solving process they collaborate with other areas to define and implement mitigation plans that minimize future errors. Additionally, they collaborate with other areas to ensure that business process changes and related operational decisions align with customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build superior customer relationships by listening, understanding their specific needs and delivering service to meet/exceed customer expectations resulting in repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all compensation transactions.
  • Drives processes to improve customer experience, eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
  • Consultative and attentive to customer needs, professional and proficient in handling questions over the phone and in writing for both internal and external customers.
  • Performs escalation processing related to commission discrepancies, completes research and brings resolution that turns a negative experience into a positive one.
  • Interacts daily with Distribution Partners, Field Leaders and other functional areas within Home Office building stronger and collaborative relationships through these interactions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
