We are currently seeking qualified applicants for an entry level production employee to be located in our Macon, Georgia plant. The hourly pay rate for beginning operator positions is $18.85 + shift differential. We operate two 12 hour shifts 4 days a week and applicants must be willing to work when needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Support and promote safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.
* Ensuring that the proper tape is on each roll.
* Stocking tape for changeovers
* Separating first and second-class material
* Monitoring weight, width and communicate to team leader
* Adding cores to rolls
* Keeping 5S board stocked
* General housekeeping of the area
* Following all procedures and JSA's for winder
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Possess strong comprehension skills
* Able to lift 50 lbs.
* Able to work flexible schedule to include overtime
* Willingness to work in non-temperature-controlled environment
This is a position in an industrial, manufacturing environment, requiring:
- The ability to stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to manually lift at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
- The ability to execute both fine and gross motor hand movements.
- The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment.
- The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).
- The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
