Position Summary
The Program Assistant-TRIO is responsible for providing assistance in the Student Support Services Program. The Program Assistant-TRIO reports to the Director of TRIO Programs.

This is a grant-funded position with funding through August 31, 2025 with expected renewal. Position may be shortened or extended based on funds availability and the needs of the department.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision; self-motivated.
• Able to effectively utilize MS Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail; strong organization skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Work Experience
Two (2) years of office support experience. Note that additional education will be considered in lieu of experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual: English/Spanish.

None specified.

Work Hours
Typical 20 hours per week within standard office hours of Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional extended hours as needed to meet departmental goals.

Physical Demands

• Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve marketing materials weighing up to 10lbs.
• Ability to push/pull marketing carts holding up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.
• Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage faculty, staff, and potential/current students, as well as attend meetings on and off campus.
