Position Overview

The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for executing the strategy set by the Director of Communications & Retail and the Chief Communications Officer. This role involves working directly with cross functional internal and field teams to ensure media responses and PR tactics are aiding in our local store marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report daily on media mentions for each of our three brands.
  • Respond to media and other inquiries working with the appropriate stakeholders
  • Partner with our outside freelancer on press releases, ensuring NSOs and local store marketing programs are being highlighted
  • Lead media training sessions in partnership with the Director of Communications & Retail and our Marketing Coaches
  • Support LSMs and Marketing Coaches with community segments with a focus on growth of these segments amongst our stores
  • Team up with the Digital Team on potential influencer partnerships and other brand collaborations, including posting content to our I Love My Job Facebook page and LinkedIn.
  • Coordinate our responses to in-bound guest communications (e.g. invitations, compliments, school programs, etc.)
  • Maintain the internal communications boards – designing and posting slides weekly
  • Ability to write and edit for needs such as: articles, radio scripts, web, etc. for Texas Roadhouse, Bubba’s 33, and Jaggers
  • Partner up on monitoring and reporting on analytics for internal communication platforms and media mentions
  • Maintain media kits, fact sheets and press rooms on our websites
  • Support the efforts of the overall Communications and Retail programs as requested

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, Marketing, Public Relations or related field preferred.
  • 2+ plus years working experience in corporate communications, marketing or public relations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with Canva a plus.
  • Proven ability to write and edit for business needs
