The base hourly rate for this position is $19.70

JOB OBJECTIVE: Responsible for preforming all duties on a professional level and complying with the Production Superintendent, under direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor. Working from general instructions from the plant management team, and all levels within the organization in support of the four Johns Manville core values: People, Passion, Performance, and Protection.

Wage: $19.70

Schedule: 6pm - 2:30am

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.

2. Show initiative in supporting safety, plant wide. Participate on committees as required.

3. Ensures that all Housekeeping & 5S areas of responsibility have been completed before end of shift and keeps equipment, work areas and other prescribed areas clean and orderly at all times.

4. Wears all required and proper PPE.

5. Operates a lift truck or other material handling equipment in servicing production as required (must be properly licensed).

6. Uses safe work practices and reports hazardous conditions at all times to supervisor.

7. Complete computer-based training and all other programs needed to stay in compliance with company policy’s.

8. Receives and follows verbal and written instructions from supervisor or leader.

9. Prepares production reports as directed or required.

Level 1 Job Functions

10. Take Off- Remove formed/molded PVC fittings from table saw and place them in trim area or aside as needed.

11. Flip the PVC fittings at the table

12. Trimming PVC fittings with hand scissors to the correct lengths

13. Converts fittings to meet established specifications

14. Reports equipment malfunctions, operation delays, or product defects immediately to supervisor or leader.

15. FG Sorting & knowledge of bundling chart

16. Prepares production reports as directed or required.

17. Performs other job or duties as directed or required.

Level 2 Job Functions

18. Performs flipping online (TSL & Brown machines)

19. Knowledge of fitting storage locations

20. Use of end cap cutt

JOB LOCATION:

The responsibilities for this job are performed on the production plant floor. Conditions are often hot, with temperatures ranging from 70-115 degrees. The environment may be dirty from oils/grease and may be noisy from the machinery. Required personal protective equipment must be worn at all times.

EQUIPMENT: (i.e. Machines, Devices, Tools, Etc., used in job performance)

· Vertical Bandsaw

BACKGROUND/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (i.e. high school diploma, degree, specialized knowledge, roles, skills and/or expertise)

· High School diploma or GED

· Flexible in work and assignments

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (i.e. What the job requires – standing, setting, lifting, etc.)

Note: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time on cement floors

· Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel and climb ladders and staircases.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as require
