SciTec has been awarded multiple government contracts and is growing our creative Team! SciTec, Inc. is a dynamic small business with the mission to deliver advanced sensor data processing technologies and scientific instrumentation capabilities in support of National Security and Defense. We support customers throughout the Department of Defense and U.S. Government in building innovative new tools to deliver unique world-class data exploitation capabilities.

Important Notice: SciTec exclusively works on U.S. government contracts that require U.S. citizenship for all employees. SciTec cannot sponsor or assume sponsorship of employee work visas of any type. Further, U.S. citizenship is a requirement to obtain and keep a security clearance. Applicants that do not meet these requirements will not be considered.

Our modeling and simulation team is looking for talented scientists and engineers to build and use software tools for generating high-fidelity simulated remote sensing imagery grounded in physical principles for future generations of Earth observing satellite sensors. Data from these simulations will be used to drive development requirements and train data processing algorithms to solve pressing problems in national defense and intelligence. Our ideal candidate will have experience building, testing, validating, and using numerical models of physical processes that contribute to remote sensing imagery, such as radiative transport, scattering, thermodynamics, and cloud formation.

If you are highly motivated and passionate about working on cutting edge problems of national defense and intelligence, then we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate existing modeling code and pipelines to generate synthetic remote sensing imagery and apply analysis to validate outputs for radiometric accuracy
  • Generate 3D model scene inputs, including terrain and clouds meshes with physical, thermal, and optical data attached, to expand existing scene libraries
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of numeric modeling tools for generating and validating remote sensing scenes
  • Contribute to the development and validation of target motion and radiance signature models
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of numeric modeling tools for post-processing scenes with sensor noise models, inserted target models, and vehicle motion models
  • Effectively communicate results to internal and external data customers and collaborate with downstream users to meet mission requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
