Pay Range

$103,800.00-$155,600.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.   Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. 

The Senior ABAP Developer is a member of the Business Process Excellence Manufacturing team and supports the SAP implementation at Johns Manville.  Responsibilities entail supporting and maintaining the SAP productive systems, debugging issues, and designing, coding, and testing enhancements.

This position is based out of our world headquarters in Denver, CO and is on a hybrid work schedule, Monday and Fridays are remote and Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday are in office days. Johns Manville does provide free parking or RTD pass.

Your Day-to-Day: 

  • Support / maintain the SAP productive systems and debug system issues.
  • Evaluate, interpret, and understand Functional specifications for highly complex custom development.
  • Construct Technical Specification for a solution design which will meet or exceed the functional requirements as described in the Functional Specification.
  • Develop (coding) the design as described in the Technical Specification.
  • Conduct Technical unit testing of the developed objects/solution and provide full life cycle documentation.
  • Perform peer code reviews of team member solutions.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with all technical and functional teams.
  • Provide technical consulting to internal customers and functional SME (subject matter experts).
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Team:  

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of ABAP development experience in SAP ECC version 6.0 or higher.
  • In depth experience in at least one SAP business module (SD, PP, WM, MM, QM, FI, CO, etc.) and some working knowledge of 2 or more.
  • Development experience in SRM, SCM and/or TM is desirable. 
  • Excellent hands-on experience in all types of ABAP development (reports, enhancements, interfaces, function modules and module pool).
  • Strong understanding of ABAP objects (Object Oriented concepts) with hands on working knowledge being preferred.
  • Strong understanding of BADI’s, BAPIs, Proxies, switch framework, IDOCs, Web services and Web Dynpro’s is required with hands on working knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Smartforms and Adobe Forms.
  • Experience with SAP Workflow and workflow concepts.
  • Experience with BOPF framework.
  • Exposure to SAP Cloud Platform technologies, SAPUI5, Web IDE, CDS Views, Business Rules, and Odata services is a plus.
  • Experience across all phases of software development cycles.
  • Experience working in a structured development environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment under aggressive timelines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 25 pounds.
  • Minimal travel required (0 -10 days per year)
