The DevOps Engineer will work with the different teams in an agile environment to design, facilitate and implement CI/CD solutions on-prem and in future cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will provide system administration for CI/CD pipelines and the suite of DevSecOps tools to define and measure KPIs and drive continuous improvements, assist with managing the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) environment, guide adherence to development and security standards across the organization, and develop and document best practice recommendations. Core responsibilities include the following:
- Extend the use of DevSecOps by providing direct application team support.
- Develop and maintain DevSecOps processes, including continuous testing, integration, and deployment processes.
- Work in an agile environment and apply strong understanding of the agile methodology.
- Collect and analyze service data for improved performance.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including training materials.
The projected compensation range for this position is $145K to $175K (annualized USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.
Required Skills- At least 10 years of IT experience successfully leading projects ranging in scope and complexity.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer implementing CI/CD process for enterprise grade apps.
- Four (4) years of experience with computing languages such as Python, C, JAVA, .NET Languages, PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience using PowerShell scripting in a CI/CD environment.
- Four (4) years of experience working with web servers such as Microsoft IIS, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere.
- Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and deploying DevOps tools such as HCL AppScan, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, and JFrog Artifactory (or equivalent tools).
- Hands on experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as (but not limited to) Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Selenium.
- Experience with enterprise system monitoring technologies such as Splunk, including report and dashboard creation.
- Experience with DevOps testing technologies such as Selenium.
- Understanding of the business technology landscape, the ability to design reports, and strong analytical skills.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarization with operational management tools such as SolarWinds, SonarQube, Artifactory, ServiceNow, AppScan and Qualys.
- Hands-on experience creating Jenkins declarative pipelines.
- Experience supporting Federal Government Customers.
- Experience with source control management in Rational Team Concert.
- Active Federal Government Public Trust clearance.
