Senior Engineer, HSBC Technology & Services (USA) Inc., Buffalo, NY:
Work across Domains within their Region and contributes to, and leads the design and development of architectures that are aligned with Group standards, IT and business strategy, meet business objectives and satisfy all relevant regulatory and operational risk controls. Lead in designing, specifying and selecting information system solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance. Adhere to the current and future Application Architecture. Develop and maintain the model where required. Develop software architecture design and support development team in implementing the proposed solutions. Help analysts to estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses, development and support. Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilizing their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand. End-to-end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey. Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service's direction. Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality. Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end-to-end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge. Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release/change.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $147,285 to $157,285 per year.
RequirementsMust have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related experience in technology.
Must have 10 years of experience in:
• Architectural framework such as TOGAF or equivalent;
• Architectural solutioning;
• Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent;
• FSA technologies, particularly, Java web based technologies like openAM, Cloud (AWS) and SOA architecture, databases like Mongo;
• Experience in implementing integration patterns;
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders;
• Wide hands on experience with Card and payments industry (Local in US and Group products) and associated controls such as PCI DSS;
• Cards Scheme Compliance; and
• Cards security controls such as PCI DSS in addition to different platforms such as IBM Mainframe and AWS.
Must have 8 years of experience in:
• Enterprise or domain architecture in retail lending technology across US or other markets specifically Credit Cards and Personal loans;
• Software Delivery Life Cycle using Agile (SAFE framework) and its principles;
• Translating business requirements to technical requirements and guide the programming teams; and
• Direct face off with business stakeholders in working through incidents and customer pain points and recommending technology solutions.
Domestic and international travel required up to 15%.
