Job Summary
The Student Resource Assistant provides support across several areas of the Student Success Hub. The Assistant will primarily be involved in supporting the daily operations of The Heart Pantry and Golphin Heart Express Food Stations. Additionally, this position provides support to the Director of Student Engagement and the Associate Dean.
The Student Resource Assistant reports to the Director of Student Engagement.
Job Duties:
1. Oversee The Heart food pantry and Golphin Heart Express food stations - inventory, organizing, stocking, shopping.
2. Travel to regional campuses to deliver orders and stock the food stations.
3. Assist in development and implementation of donation drives and partnerships both within the college and in the community.
4. Help refer students to additional resources to meet their needs.
5. Coordinate the search for grant opportunities and assist in the development of grant proposals to support the Heart.
6. Assist with the hiring, training, and supervision of federal work study students.
7. Assist with setup and implementation of on-campus events such as student engagement events and first year orientations.
8. Provide assistance to students who contact or visit the Hub for issues such as tutoring, food insecurity, general questions, etc.
9. Assist with posting content to Hub social media accounts and engaging with students.
10. Assist with creating and preparing informational materials and marketing strategies to promote services and present to students and faculty.
11. Assist with tracking and collecting data on the Heart and food stations and analyzing to determine per campus costs and the impact on students.
12. Support accountability and institutional effectiveness by developing, implementing, and assessing effective procedures that support college operations and foster student success.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
• One year related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software strongly desired.
• Basic data analysis skills and proficiency with Excel desired.
• Must be physically able to lift heavy items, i.e. boxes of fruit, groceries, etc.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a car/van.
