Rancher Government Solutions (RGS) is specifically designed to address the unique security and operational needs of the U.C. Government and military as it relates to application modernization, containers, and Kubernetes.
Rancher is a complete open-source software stack for teams adopting containers. It addresses the operations and security challenges of managing multiple Kubernetes clusters at scale, while providing DevOps teams with integrated tools for running containerized workloads.
RGS supports all Rancher products with U.S. based American citizen with the highest security clearances who are currently supporting programs across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Technical Account Manager at Rancher Government Solutions, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer guidance, support, and enablement focused on SUSE Rancher software products. You will work closely with our government agency clients, providing technical expertise, proactive assistance, and strategic insights to maximize the value they derive from our solutions. This role is instrumental in ensuring a seamless and successful customer experience throughout the entire engagement lifecycle.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for government agency customers, understanding their technical needs, challenges, and goals.
- Provide expert-level technical guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and proactive support on SUSE Rancher software products.
- Create and present product demos to customers as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customers' requirements and align with their business objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a deep understanding of their organizations and assisting in their long-term success with SUSE Rancher products.
- Conduct regular account reviews, deliver product updates, and recommend enhancements to optimize customers' usage and achieve desired outcomes.
- Actively identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expansion of SUSE Rancher software within existing accounts.
- Collect and communicate customer feedback to internal teams to drive product improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, training materials, and best practices to support customers in effectively utilizing SUSE Rancher software.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required for this role. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a TS/SCI clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical account management or customer-facing role, preferably within the software industry.
- Desired to have a strong technical background in SUSE Rancher software products, Kubernetes, and container orchestration technologies.
- Experience in DevSecOps in general, with an emphasis on Kubernetes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a focus on customer success and satisfaction.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of government sector regulations, processes, and compliance requirements is a plus.
