Are you someone passionate about helping Fidelity's customers achieve their financial goals by identifying appropriate investment strategies given their personal situation? If yes, come join Financial Solutions and be part of the team that identifies investment strategies, recommends target asset allocation, and assesses suitability for investment products, for our individual retail and workplace customers. You'll play a vital role in developing the methodology and help translate it into functional digital tools for representatives and customers.

The Team

The Financial Solutions team, part of the Strategic Advisers business unit within the Asset Management division, develops the methodology that underpins the financial planning advice and guidance Fidelity offers its wealth, brokerage, and workplace clients through interactions with representatives and digital tools. The team also conducts research, drives innovation, and provides thought leadership on a range of financial planning and investment topics.

The Expertise and Skill You Bring

This role will work with a range of teams at Fidelity including investment management, product management, platform, technology, legal and compliance teams, among others. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining philosophy and strategic vision for investor risk profiling methodology, including how it integrates with broader financial planning

  • Partnering with distribution and product management teams to understand representative and customer feedback and objectives and determine if/how to incorporate into Fidelity's investment profiling approach

  • Designing enhancements to Fidelity's investment profiling and suitability methodology for discretionary and non-discretionary clients

  • Conducting impact analysis to assess the impact of potential enhancements to existing clients and helping develop positioning and rationale

  • Identifying and conducting research topics to inform asset allocation-related thought leadership

  • Designing analytics to evaluate impact and value add of investment profiling on customer outcomes

  • Providing consultative guidance to team members on day-to-day profiling projects

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a strong understanding of and direct experience with financial markets, investment products, and asset allocation

  • Is able to develop and communicate a clear philosophy and approach to investor risk profiling

  • Has strong critical thinking skills

  • Possesses excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills

  • Holds a bachelor's degree or Graduate degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or equivalent quantitative and logic-oriented degree

  • Has 10+ years of relevant financial services experience

  • Has excellent communication skills

  • Enjoys working in a team-based environment
