SUMMARY
The part-time&nbsp;Industrial Maintenance and Automation Instructor shall coordinate with the full-time program faculty and shall be directly responsible to the institution administration for effective performance of assigned responsibilities and duties. The instructor shall observe rules, policies, and regulations set forth by the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (TCAT), Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), and the Council of Occupational Education (COE); and shall strive to promote and elevate the mission and philosophy of occupational education within the areas served. They shall keep abreast of industry standards and techniques, reviewing periodicals and industry magazines commensurate to the course being taught.&nbsp; The instructor shall follow and maintain a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aides to meet educational requirements and industry standards. They shall also oversee student conduct, motivation, safety, discipline, and appearance, addressing issues as they arise.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

<li>High school graduate or the equivalent as determined by the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET).</li>
<li>3+ years of approved work experience in the occupation to be taught.</li>

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the full-time position of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning &amp; Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Instructor to be located at Riverside High School in Parsons, Tennessee.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or Equivalent</li>
<li>Minimum of certificate or diploma in instructional area or equivalent training with credentials in related field.</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years of employment experience in the occupation to be taught</li>
<li>Must possess all required certifications and/or accreditations for the field or ability to become certified within twelve (12) calendar months</li>

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp;
The HVAC/R Instructor shall be directly responsible to the institution administration.&nbsp; The instructor shall develop, plan and prepare a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignment and instructional aides, and keep these revised and up to date to meet the requirements of industry.&nbsp; Motivation, conduct, safety, discipline, and appearance of student during the time he/she is on the institution campus are also duties of the HVAC/R Instructor.&nbsp; The instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; evaluate student progress and maintain student records; participate in professional development activities; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area.&nbsp; Some travel is required.
SALARY:&nbsp; Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
