As a backlot production support staff member, you will support the management of daily operations at the backlot production facility, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for students and faculty. You will support backlot management for classes, productions, maintenance, tours, and special events. Responsibilities will include training and supervising student workers and regular equipment maintenance checks to address issues as they arise. You will collaborate with the backlot production manager on maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and equipment updates.You will maintain daily documentation and procedural information and issue resolutions in this position. You will also communicate key information and escalate high-priority concerns to the appropriate personnel, monitor budget expenditures for supplies, equipment installations, and repairs, and coordinate backup support for the production manager. Additionally, you will support equipment checkout staff, assist engineering and AV technical staff, and research/assess emerging technologies. You will also develop equipment and facility training materials.The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in studio systems, video and audio equipment, manage student production shoots and student workers, and have a strong competency with computer hardware and software.
