The Opportunity

<li>Oversee quality and safety initiatives.</li>
<li>Ensure the site exceeds national benchmarks in CMS quality measures.</li>
<li>Collaborate with hospital quality personnel to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.</li>
<li>Develop and implement projects to improve service excellence and patient experience.</li>
<li>Compare patient feedback survey results to Vituity state/region averages and national benchmarks.</li>
<li>Respond to written and verbal patient complaints in a timely manner utilizing service-recovery techniques.</li>
<li>Track and trend patient complaints, including the QI /OR director as necessary in concerning cases.</li>
<li>Train and mentor providers in patient experience techniques.</li>
<li>Coordinate with hospital patient experience personnel.</li>
<li>Coordinate efforts with key leaders in central operations.</li>
<li>Enhance the clinical knowledge of site providers.</li>
<li>Participate and lead multidisciplinary meetings involving nursing, providers, and ancillary services.</li>
<li>Initiate process improvement and engage hospital project management resources to implement change.</li>
<li>Coordinate workflows with nursing leadership, case managers, social workers, and hospital ancillary services.</li>
<li>Coach underperformers and share best practices.</li>
<li>Participate in the hospital-wide throughput committee.</li>
<li>Create and champion clinical pathways.</li>
<li>Develop relationships with appropriate inpatient resources, case managers, hospitalists, and palliative care.</li>
<li>Develop relationships with appropriate outpatient resources such as skilled nursing facilities, sobering centers, urgent care&nbsp;centers, primary care providers, and mental health crisis centers.</li>
<li>Establish and actively manage an inventory of resources available for patients to assist in transition post-ED/post-inpatient.</li>
<li>Ensure best practices are utilized with regard to handoffs for all transitions.</li>
<li>Encourage employee engagement in site initiatives.</li>
<li>Facilitate regular communication with site providers.</li>
<li>Establish and execute a detailed orientation and onboarding for new hires.</li>
<li>Provide ongoing feedback to employees.</li>
<li>Address performance concerns in conjunction with the Medical Director and People Operations.</li>
<li>If applicable, ensure new hire Internship is running successfully.</li>
<li>Create or assist in creation of advanced provider work schedule.</li>
<li>Serve as timecard administrator for advanced providers.</li>
<li>Monitor site financial performance and identify and create new areas for growth and revenue.</li>
<li>Develop an expertise and understanding of the yearly budget, financial performance measures, monitoring systems, and billing and reimbursement issues / systems.</li>
<li>Improve patient census and billing practice statistics to optimize reimbursement for the practice.</li>
<li>Maintain awareness and interactions with payers such as significant IPAs, Medical Groups, Foundations, ACOs associated with the hospital / health system.</li>
<li>Coordinate efforts with key leaders in central operations.</li>
</ul>
Required Experience and Competencies
<ul type="disc">
<li>Licensed advanced provider (PA/NP/CRNA) who has successfully graduated from an accredited training program required.</li>
<li>Maintain membership and privileges on Hospital’s medical staff and comply with and abide by the bylaws, rules and regulations, and the policies and procedures of Hospital’s medical staff where services are being provided required.</li>
<li>Full-time employee status required.</li>
<li>Superior clinical skills to serve as role model by setting high standards.</li>
<li>Administrative experience and aptitude preferred.</li>
<li>Interest in interpreting complex financial data with an understanding of finance and accounting as they relate to practice management preferred.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to motivate teams, manage multiple assignments, work successfully with a diversity of people and locations, maintain good working relationships; Supportive team member; Ability to establish effective relationships quickly with both clients and non-clients preferred.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred.</li>

<li>Ability to lead and guide group discussions effectively, ensuring that all participants are engaged, focused, and contributing to the desired outcomes.</li>

The Opportunity

<li>Monitor operational and quality metrics and implement Vituity initiatives and operational programs to continually improve performance.</li>
<li>Continuously assess and improve operational processes, leveraging technology and best practices to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.</li>
<li>Monitor site financial performance and identify and create new areas for growth and revenue.</li>
<li>Develop an expertise and understanding of the yearly budget, financial performance measures and monitoring systems, and billing and reimbursement issues / systems.</li>
<li>Improve patient census and billing practice statistics to optimize reimbursement for the practice.</li>
<li>Maintain awareness and interactions with payers such as significant IPA’s, Medical Groups, Foundations, ACO’s associated with the hospital / health system.</li>
<li>Execute efficient recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new providers, ensuring the practice is staffed with highly qualified professionals.</li>
<li>Provide learning and development opportunities and mentoring to providers and staff to enhance their clinical acumen, leadership skills and overall professional growth.</li>
<li>Evaluate the performance of physicians and PA / NPs in compliance with Vituity policies and guidelines.</li>
<li>Monitor physician competencies with progressive improvement using appropriate metrics. Counsel, suspend, or remove staff from the schedule as necessary in compliance with Vituity polices / guidelines.</li>
<li>Actively participate in contract negotiations in conjunction with the Regional Director.</li>
<li>Develop, foster, and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with hospital leadership, nursing staff and other healthcare team members.</li>
<li>Ensure practice is appropriately represented and demonstrates their value through leadership roles (as applicable) and/or participation with hospital management, medical staff leadership, Medical Executive, Medical Staff and other hospital committees, and within the local community.</li>

Required Experience and Competencies

<li>Licensed physician as a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school and completion of residency through an accredited residency program required.</li>
<li>Maintain membership and privileges on Hospital’s medical staff and comply with and abide by the bylaws, rules and regulations, and the policies and procedures of Hospital’s medical staff where services are being provided required.</li>

Required Experience and Competencies

The Opportunity
