Job Summary
The Next Generation Additive Manufacturing Research Laboratory (NextGen AMRL) is seeking a qualified additive manufacturing technician. This position will require demonstrated experience with a variety of advanced additive manufacturing technologies, including both fusion-based and solid-state additive manufacturing over a range of length-scales. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 of years of system operational experience with such technologies. This includes system upkeep and maintenance, feedstock handling, storage, and disposal, as well the necessary CAM/CAD and slicing experience to facilitate additive manufacturing of a variety of components and materials. One of the core responsibilities of this position will be to provide guidance and training to graduate students and postdocs and to help them implement experiments which aid their research objectives, including process development for new materials. Willingness to develop understanding of new emerging technologies is a requirement.
