In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.&nbsp;Project Engineer II is accountable for all technical and commercial aspects of an investment projects in the Cleburne facility. Execution will be completed safely, timely, on budget and per the agreed scope and functionality. Cooperates and communicates actively with the project stakeholders such as plant managers and business leaders to ensure alignment in all stages of the project.Responsible for equipment and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets and forecasts; selects materials, equipment, project resources, and contractors with and ensures all aspects of the design are reviewed technically and commercially for scope, safety, quality, and functionality with guidance and support from plant engineer or divisional engineering leader.Project Engineer II provides support in the different stages of the project and reviews options and provides guidance.Your Day to Day:Execute investment projects within a budget with medium/high complexity according the CPP process and requirements described below:<ul><li>Develop, guide, review, and present project feasibility studies and business cases that accurately identify project benefits, risks, and returns project assignments concurrently and driving projects to completion</li><li>Estimate costs of an approved project, resources and time required to complete. Drives the iteration of options to identify in the end the most optimal technical solution to meet the cost/performance improvements defined in the business case.</li><li>Evaluates vendors in close cooperation with procurement to check cost/performance and decides according the project RACI on the sourcing plan</li><li>Provide project management and oversight for all aspects and phases for multiple project assignments concurrently and drive projects to completion</li><li>Review Mechanical and/or Electrical Controls detail engineering for all project aspects</li><li>Ensure compliance with technical specifications and contracts for equipment and services for all aspects of projects</li><li>Coordinate, review, provide oversight and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed</li><li>Develop bid request documentation, supplier lists, bid evaluations, and make recommendations for purchasing</li><li>Design of safe processes and specification of safe equipment, ensures that ergonomics is considered in all areas of design, and that potential safety and health hazards are identified and eliminated during project execution</li><li>Design and specify environmentally compliant equipment and processes, ensure that all permit requirements are considered and addressed in the design, and that potential environmental issues are identified and addressed during project execution</li><li>Prepare, review, deliver, and implement necessary training to maintenance and operations hourly workforce regarding the project</li><li>Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are followed, driving a zero-incident project environment</li><li>Work with Engineering Leaders and Procurement to evaluate potential engineering firms and contractors</li><li>Maintain effective communication to management and project customers regarding project status, problems, and changes</li><li>Apply lean manufacturing concepts to all aspects of design and project execution</li><li>Prepare, organize, document, and archive project documentation</li><li>Drives a continuous lesson learned logbook through the project and drives the analysis after finishing the project. Communication of the results in the engineering team to support the continuous improvement.</li><li>Works proactively with process engineers, production, and maintenance departments to solve process and equipment issues, and to identify improvement opportunities based on joint performance reviews with coworkers.</li><li>Provide engineering input for improved automation and product packaging opportunities</li><li>Follows the trends in technology and equipment design by visiting tradeshows / exhibitions and key vendors.</li><li>May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>What You Bring to the Team:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in engineering, (chemical or mechanical) with a minimum of 3 years' engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing industry</li><li>Strong project management skills with projects up to $2M</li><li>Solid leadership skills</li><li>Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills</li><li>Demonstrated high level of drive and initiative to complete assigned tasks and investigate and seek out improvement opportunities</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook</li><li>Proficient in project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera)</li><li>Experience managing contractors and sub-contractors, including bid process</li><li>Experience preparing estimates, schedules, and project deliverables</li><li>Proven ability to negotiate and manage change</li><li>Exposure to SAP systems a plus</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment</li><li>Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally</li><li>Supervises/Leads individuals or a project team to achieve milestones and objectives by setting priorities and providing direction.
