Job Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction for non-credit courses using integrative technologies. The adjunct instructor works under the supervision of the Director of Center of Emphasis, Health Sciences Continuing Education. The adjunct instructor is responsible for the effective communication of course related information to students using various and participative instructional strategies. Provides quality delivery of assigned coursework and laboratory activities. 
Job Duties:
Teach courses via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities, as assigned. Teach day, evening, weekend, off-campus, distance-based courses, as required. Comply with course syllabus content and outcomes and update department syllabus, as necessary, at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract. Regularly check VSCC email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend. Submit final grades for each course by the deadline established by the department. Complete required College training annually, and training as assigned related to new equipment. Complete all required reports such as progress reports, grade submissions, attendance records, as well as administer and return surveys by the required deadlines. Communicate with the department director as soon as possible if one is unable to teach a class. Attend meetings as required. Comply with all the College’s and Tennessee Board of Regents’ (TBR) policies and guidelines, as well as American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center Policies and Procedures. Minimum Qualifications:
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. Six months teaching experience or working in a health-related field. Appropriate formal education and valid industry credential(s) specific to the course(s) being taught. Other combination of formal education, training and experience may be considered. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in a health care related field. Community college experience. Experience as a health care educator in a medical facility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and/or experience in the subject area and skills in the use of a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in relevant Microsoft Office applications.

Position Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to provide excellent customer service to students and other parties regarding account balances and accurately process and receipt payments on customers’ accounts in accordance with TBR policy and state law.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receipt payments to include determination of customers account number, charge type with code number, and payment type by using Banner or Touchnet cashier system when applicable. Perform data entry in student system and print receipt. Separate documents and distribute.
- Provide customer service for customers in-person, on the phone and through the Student Accounts email address. Must be able to review student account to determine correct answers for questions regarding payments, account balance, tuition and fee charges, refunds, 1098T’s, local scholarships and other inquiries.
- Prepare daily deposits of receipted payments.
- Apply fee waivers and discount payments to student accounts in student system. Enter waiver or discount amount and reconcile to Banner system reports. Verify document accuracy.
- Scan and index departmental documentation accurately and timely.

A Skytracker Balloon will be launched, weather permitting.

This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Teach courses via on ground as assigned. Teach evening, off-campus, and distance-based courses as required.</li>
<li>Post grades during the term for student feedback and submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.</li>
<li>Complete required College trainings and complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines. Advise the Program Chair or Dean at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class. Attend meetings as requested by the Program Chair and/or Dean. Comply with all the College’s and TBR’s policies and guidelines. Other duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Regularly check your JSCC email and your departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend.</li>
<li>Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field with at least eighteen (18) credit hours in graduate level Engineering from an accredited institution.
