SUMMARY
This is a General Nursing Pool position announcement seeking Adjunct Instructors to teach Clinical Nursing, Anatomy and Physiology, or Dosage Calculation.&nbsp;
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS for Clinical Nursing Applicants

<li>Clinical Experience in Maternal, Pediatric, Mental Health, and/or Adult Health Nursing</li>

RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Maintain a current knowledge of industry trends and technological advances in the industry.</li>
<li>Maintain an organized, safe, and stable learning environment.</li>
<li>Develop lesson plans and deliver instruction accordingly.</li>
<li>Teach courses on campus or at clinical sites as assigned.</li>
<li>Utilize in-class assessment tools/techniques to measure student achievement of course competencies.</li>
<li>Utilize Banner to record and submit grades and attendance (tardiness and absences) daily.</li>
<li>Distribute student syllabus at the beginning of the course to define course competencies, performance criteria, established approved grading procedures and standards, attendance and class policies/procedures, and other necessary information to students.</li>
<li>Teach worker ethics curriculum, interpersonal skills, post-secondary workforce skills, and soft skills within the standard industry framework.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to student success by providing guidance and advice to students regarding course progress, and academic and disciplinary issues.</li>
<li>Coordinate all disciplinary issues with Coordinator of Practical Nursing.</li>
</ul>
SPECIFIC DUTIES
<ul>
<li>Adhere to the school calendar and daily class schedule.</li>
<li>Start and end class at designated time.</li>
<li>Perform student surveys each trimester.</li>
<li>Participate in regularly scheduled staff climate surveys.</li>
<li>Check and respond to emails twice daily.</li>
<li>Coordinate necessary absences with Coordinator of Practical Nursing and to coincide with student breaks.</li>
<li>Work a maximum of 29 hours per week.</li>
<li>Other duties as defined by administration.</li>

We are seeking to build a pool of Adjunct Faculty/Substitute Instructors for our programs.&nbsp; If you have solid work experience and applicable skills in the field of IMA Technology, we invite you to consider sharing your knowledge on a part-time basis.&nbsp;&nbsp;
SUMMARY
The part-time&nbsp;Industrial Maintenance and Automation Instructor shall coordinate with the full-time program faculty and shall be directly responsible to the institution administration for effective performance of assigned responsibilities and duties. The instructor shall observe rules, policies, and regulations set forth by the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (TCAT), Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), and the Council of Occupational Education (COE); and shall strive to promote and elevate the mission and philosophy of occupational education within the areas served. They shall keep abreast of industry standards and techniques, reviewing periodicals and industry magazines commensurate to the course being taught.&nbsp; The instructor shall follow and maintain a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aides to meet educational requirements and industry standards. They shall also oversee student conduct, motivation, safety, discipline, and appearance, addressing issues as they arise.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
<ul>
<li>High school graduate or the equivalent as determined by the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET).</li>
<li>3+ years of approved work experience in the occupation to be taught.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license.</li>
</ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Associate degree or diploma from an accredited technical training program in the related field.</li>
<li>3+ years technical teaching experience.</li>
<li>5+ years industry related experience.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) labeling and policy.</li>
<li>OSHA 10 certification.</li>
<li>Welding experience preferred.</li>

Position Summary: To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories

Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi.
2. Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned.
3. Submitting requests through the department head, program coordinator, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids.
4. Evaluating the academic progress of students.
5. Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
6. Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.
7. Scheduling two office hours. For extenuating circumstances in which office hours cannot be scheduled, the adjunct faculty member must submit a written plan to the Dean describing how students can access the instructor. Office hours are not paid during the summer session.
 Required Qualifications: Master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics or Statistics.
