      Adjunct Faculty - Advanced Technologies
    

Columbia State Community College is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our Testing Services team. This position supports a variety of testing functions, including proctoring exams, scheduling appointments, managing databases, and providing administrative support to the Testing Services and Student Affairs departments.
JOB PURPOSE
This position supports Testing Services along with providing assistance to the Testing Services Department and Student Affairs Division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ol>
<li>Provide proctoring support for all exams administered in Testing Services including Accuplacer, HiSET, Graduation Exit Exam, ACT On-Campus, ACT National, PearsonVue and individually proctored exams for Distance Education, RODP and special needs testing.</li>
<li>Greet visitors, assess needs, and respond to requests for information.&nbsp; Make referrals to Academic Support Services and Distance Education Department staff and campus community as needed.</li>
<li>Perform general clerical duties including managing incoming phone calls, scheduling students for appointments and managing incoming and outgoing written correspondence for the department.</li>
<li>Perform regular updates to the Testing Services web site and updates to the main campus website.</li>
<li>Maintain Testing Services database for appointments and score reporting.</li>
<li>Assist Director of Testing Services in monthly reporting, Testing Services calendar formation, and with annual data collection and analysis.</li>
<li>Ensure confidentiality of student records at all times and be responsible for accurate transfer and documentation of test scores and exams into a database and to provide transcripts.</li>
<li>Create and maintain updated training manual for student workers.</li>
<li>Maintain weekly calendar for staff off campus schedule.</li>

Under general direction of the Environmental Services Coordinator, the Custodial Department is seeking a lead custodian to supervise the full-time, part-time, and temporary custodial personnel in proper floor care, cleaning, furniture set-up/moving, and safety procedures. Position would also be responsible for performing custodial work, and have the ability to work a flexible schedule with occasional after hours, weekend, or holiday work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

<li>At least one (1) year of experience performing custodial work, including some supervision.

<li>Experience and skills to determine use of custodial materials and custodial equipment needed to perform cleaning tasks. 
</li>
<li>Knowledge of cleaning solvents, soaps, waxes, and other related chemicals used to clean offices, carpets, floors, etc. 
</li>
<li>Knowledge of standard safety precautions and rules used in custodial work. 
</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent. 
</li>
<li>Valid Tennessee Driver's License. 
</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Three or more years of supervisory experience preferred. 
</li>
<li>Experience working on a college campus preferred.</li>

In addition, the adjunct practical nursing instructor shall maintain appropriate program and student records for documentation and evaluation; provide individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required; supervise students’ clinical experiences as scheduled; and maintain good public relations with clinical partners. The adjunct instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area. Some travel is required.

Job Duties

<li>Patrols college grounds and adjacent areas on foot and in motor vehicle to deter crime.</li>
<li>Enforce Tennessee State Laws and policies and guidelines set by Southwest Tennessee Community College, the Tennessee Board of Regents, and the U.S. Department of Education’s Higher Education Act.</li>
<li>Conducts investigations into criminal activity, motor vehicle accidents, illness and injuries.</li>
<li>Prepare Police reports, motor vehicle accident reports, and reports documenting illness or injury.</li>
<li>Prepare records for court and testify at judicial hearings and trials.</li>
<li>Monitors and reviews security camera recordings to assist in investigations and to ensure safety for the campus community.</li>

<li>The police officer is required to wear a ballistic vest under the authorized uniform and a duty belt around their waist that supports their holster and firearm and other required equipment.

<li>The total weight of the ballistic vest, firearm and other equipment weighs approximately 25 pounds.
