Overview:
The Business Team Supply Chain Director (S&amp;OP) supports the VP/GM Business’s for their area of responsibility to coordinate and facilitate the end-to-end supply chain activities enabling superior service, operational excellence, short-term/long-term issue resolution necessary to achieve their sales and profit objectives.&nbsp; Success in this role will depend on a deep understanding of planning and inventory management, and strong collaboration with Product Lines, Sales, Operations, and Merchandising. &nbsp;Additionally, this role will work closely with Supply Chain leadership, the VP of Operations, and the VP of Supply chain to lead and facilitate the Executive S&amp;OP, meeting with the executive management team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Acts as the conduit to continually facilitate alignment of Commercial and Supply Strategies and Annual Operating Plans, as well as the tactical execution across functions to meet weekly and monthly customer needs.</li>
<li>Integrate and coordinate business requirements with the Supply Chain functions of Demand Management, Supply Planning, Distribution, Logistics and Order Management, etc. Continually identifies and removes obstacles for the business team working collaboratively across all functions. <li>Identify performance and execution gaps (i.e. capacity limitations), both tactically in the short term and strategically in the long term and lead cross functional remediation efforts. </li>

<li>Clearly identify and communicate customer fulfillment objectives and expectations, develop metrics across all functional teams that are all driving towards high level service KPI and heavily focus on KPI with root cause investigation and projects to correct. </li>

<li>Provide synchronization between Supply Chain and Commercial departments ensuring all teams to work towards the same objectives and at the same pace. </li>

Qualifications:

Job DescriptionJob Title:ShipperDepartment:ProductionReports to:Production SupervisorFLSA Status:Non-ExemptSummary:Verify and keep record on outgoing shipments and prepares product for shipment by performing the following duties:Essential Functions:&nbsp; To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:<ul><li>Visually identifies “flagged” orders for special handling instructions.</li><li>Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.</li><li>Starts, stops and regulates speed of the conveyor.</li><li>Obtains and sorts orders on respective pallets.</li><li>Loads the appropriate trailer with the completed orders and making sure that orders are on the truck before leaving at the end of the shift.</li><li>Unwinds plastic or metal banding material from reel, wraps around stack or bundle, inserts loose end of banding material into strapping tool, and cinches and crimps banding material and clamps with strapping tool to secure the bundled cardboard during storage or shipment.</li><li>Shrink wraps product to pallet to secure articles for shipment.</li><li>Operates hand truck or forklift to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping area to storage or truck.</li><li>Marks size of article, customer’s name, order number, address or other identifying data on visible portion of bundle or shipping label.</li><li>Follows safety rules for personal protections and the protection of others; including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.</li><li>Regular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.</li></ul>Non-Essential Functions:<ul><li>Occasionally hand writes bill of lading receipts.</li><li>Helps with quality control when not busy and/or stockers when boxes are not coming off the line to ship.</li><li>Other duties may be assigned, directed or requested.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</li><li>Minimum of 1-2years experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.</li><li>Must have basic computer skills.</li><li>Knowledge of computerized inventory control system preferred.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:The requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.&nbsp; While performing the duties of this job, the employee:<ul><li>Must be able to stand up to 8 hours in a day.</li><li>Must be able to walk up to an hour.</li><li>Must have no fear of heights.</li><li>Will occasionally climb.</li><li>Will occasionally push/pull from 11-25 pounds.</li><li>Will frequently bend, stoop, reach up and out, crouch, kneel, and push/pull from 36-50 pounds.</li><li>Will frequently carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally carry up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Will frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 poundswith team lift.</li><li>Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.</li><li>Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping and/or fine hand manipulation.</li><li>Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.</li><li>Regularly required to stand; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.</li><li>Must be able to wear gloves occasionally.</li></ul>Language Skills:<ul><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li></ul>Mathematical Skills:<ul><li>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as, area circumference and volume.</li><li>Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.</li></ul>Reasoning Ability: <ul><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li><li>Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</li></ul>Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.<ul><li>The work performed is in a warehouse environment</li><li>The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery</li><li>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels</li><li>Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment</li></ul>&nbsp;ReaderLink is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
